Welcome to Traditions at the Glen Resort and Conference Center — where great golfing traditions begin. Established in 1937 and masterfully designed by John Van Kleek, Traditions at the Glen offers a championship Johnson City golf course with an array of excellent golf holes. This classic-style golf course is set on rolling hills overlooking the Susquehanna Valley in the Southern Tier of New York. Enjoy the wide-open, wooded fairways that grace this mature course and the meticulously groomed putting greens. While the front nine is slightly longer than the back, the stretch of holes along The Glen are truly scenic gems. The seventh hole, a 591-yard par 5 that drops steeply from tee to green, offers splendid views of the Susquehanna Valley. The wooded Glen comes into play on the Par 4, third hole and Par 3, sixth hole — both requiring accurate drives and approach shots — unless you plan on spending more time in the woods than anticipated.

As of October 2008 our USGA/NYSGA Course and Slope Rating was updated as follows:

Blue Tee (Rating - 70.6 and Slope 134)

White Tee (Rating - 68.4 and Slope 129)

Yellow Tee (not yet established)

Red Tee (Rating - 69.8 and Slope 121)

New "Halfway House" featuring permanent bathrooms and food concession which will set between 14 green and 15 tee.

New senior tee markers (yellow) for every hole.

New tee box for hole #13 to add about 20 yards.

New Ladies and Senior tee box for hole #15.

Don't forget about our driving range.

The driving range offers serious golfers a place to warm up before the important round or a place to work on their swing. The three tiered t-Boxes, inline synthetic artificial turf which is marked from 100-250 yards provide an awesome alternative to the traditional ranges. Bags of balls start at $4.00/bag.

Tournaments and Outings

Traditions at the Glen Resort and Conference Center offers a unique setting for your Johnson City, NY golf outing. We can host large corporate tournaments or smaller, more informal family get-together's. Our large tent, located right beside the pro shop, is the perfect place to gather before and after the outing to talk about the game. Equipped with its own kitchen and restroom facilities, this large outdoor facility can accommodate up to 300 guests.

Our pro shop staff is available to help you plan every detail of your event. From a family reunion on our Johnson City golf course to an executive networking experience, we want you to feel confident that your event will be well-organized and enjoyable to all who attend. We’re there to help with coordinating teams, scoring and any course contest you may have. We’ll even give you some hints on your menu selection, though the choice is yours. We have a large selection of menu packages for you to choose from. Get your game off to a great start with one of our breakfast menus and follow up the event with a barbeque or more formal dinner menu.
