Matt - Manager of Salt Sanctuary
Matt worked in New York City for five years after graduating from Cornell in 2003, first for MTV Networks and later for an investment management subsidiary of Lehman Brothers. He left the corporate world and moved to Japan to teach for a year, and then travelled East and Southeast Asia.
While exploring foreign countries, cultures and languages, Matt also discovered alternative forms of wellness and healing. Matt eventually returned home to research salt therapy and develop Salt Sanctuary, a European form of natural healing that provides relief to individuals suffering from respiratory allergy symptoms, chronic respiratory conditions and skin illnesses.
Matt has also made an effort to grow Traditions' digital presence and to embrace more progressive forms of engaging our clientele. |

Sylvia - General Manager
After graduation from college, Sylvia started her career at IBM Corporation. Starting a family early in her career, she was able to simultaneously climb the corporate latter. After 7 years with IBM, and two young children, she decided to be a stay at home mom and to postpone her career to the future. She became involved in most everything her children were involved in. She headed up PTA's throughout her children's years. She also headed many organizations in the Vestal School District.
After her last of three children graduated from high school and left for college, she realized she wanted to be involved in helping people as she had done throughout her children's school years. She persuaded her husband to build a Spa in the Traditions building. After over two years of traveling throughout the country visiting spas and learning all she could about the spa business, she opened The Spa at Traditions. |
